We appreciate that course closures due to ground conditions can be a cause of frustration for our members. We can assure you that the greenkeeping team is doing everything within their power to return the course to the best possible condition following a very wet period of weather.

There was a total of 75 mm of rain over the last seven days. This is an extremely large amount of rain and is too much for the ground to handle. Large areas of the course have been left waterlogged causing health & safety concerns for members, visitors & staff. All golf courses in the local area are in the same situation and are closed at present. The greenkeeping team will continue their work to ensure the course can be safely reopened as soon as possible.
